OUR CORE TEAM
Tess is a London based Interior Architect. Tess came to Bangalore in 2016 as a volunteer to lead the campus reconfiguration project for Baale Mane. She returned to begin documenting the Oota project. Her favourite room is the kitchen; a place of daily ritual, celebrations, growth, change, memories made and stories told.
Tiggy has been living in Bangalore for 3+ years, working with Baale Mane on their communications, fundraising, campaigns and events. She moved to India after a BA History at Leeds University, focusing on Indian history. Tiggy is passionate about women’s rights, feminism, social justice, and is a real foodie, making Oota the perfect project.
Mary C is the founder and manager of the Baale Mane Girl's Home; honorary mother to over 100 girls, she is instrumental in our approach to nutrition in the home and set up the system of girls choosing their own meals, and learning to cook for themselves. Mary is the inspiration for the Oota project, helping us with all things food & Baale Mane related!
